We are WOU ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Corvallis Custom, sells Western Oregon University fan and athlete apparel through the website at https://wearewou.com (the "Site"). We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with applicable law, including the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act ("OCPA"), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended ("CCPA"), and comparable state privacy laws.

This Privacy and Cookie Policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, the cookies and tracking technologies we use, and the rights and choices available to you. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with us.

Information you provide directly

• Identifiers — name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and account login credentials.
• Commercial information — products you purchase, view, or return; order history, including any personalization details you provide; and customer service interactions.
• Communications — messages you send through forms, email, phone, chat, or newsletter sign-up.

Information collected automatically when you use the Site

• Internet and device activity — IP address, browser and device type, device identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, and navigation patterns, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
• Approximate geolocation — general location (such as city or region) inferred from your IP address.

Payment information

Payment card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from analytics and advertising partners (such as Google and Meta) and from social media platforms when you interact with our pages, stores, or ads.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Site. Under the OCPA and similar laws, we will not process sensitive data without your consent where consent is required.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of analytics and advertising cookies and pixels may qualify as a "sale" or as "sharing"/"targeted advertising" under the OCPA, CCPA, and similar laws. You can opt out using the controls described in Section 6 — including the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of every page — or by contacting us as described in Section 7.

Under the OCPA, you may also request a list of the specific third parties (not just categories) to which we have disclosed personal data; see Section 7.

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, and SDKs) help the Site function, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and support advertising.

Your choices and our consent banner

When you first visit the Site, a consent banner explains our use of cookies and gives you three controls: Accept all, Required only, and Manage preferences — which opens the Analytics and Advertising toggles so you can turn each on or off, then Save my choices to apply them. Required cookies are always active, because the Site cannot function without them.

What happens before you make a choice depends on where you are visiting from:

When you make a choice, we keep a record of it — the choice itself, the categories you allowed, the date, the country your visit resolved to, the browser you used, and a salted hash of your IP address (never the address itself) — so we can demonstrate that your preferences were honored. These records are kept for approximately two years.

• Correct inaccuracies;
• Delete personal data we hold about you;
• Obtain a portable copy of your data;
• Receive a list of the specific third parties to which we have disclosed personal data (an Oregon-specific right); and
• Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling.

California residents (CCPA)

You have the right to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

We will respond within 45 days (extendable once by an additional 45 days, with notice). There is no fee for a request. We may need to verify your identity. You may use an authorized agent, and you may appeal a denial by replying to our response; if your appeal is denied, you may contact the Oregon Attorney General (or your state's attorney general).

8. Privacy Rights for Other U.S. State Residents

If you reside in another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law — including Texas, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. Contact us using the methods in Section 7, and we will respond as required by your state's law.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. In general, we retain account information for as long as your account remains active; order and purchase records for the period needed to support returns and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations; and marketing contact information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Specific retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Consistent with applicable law, we also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age without the affirmative authorization required by law. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy and Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. When changes are material, our consent banner will ask for your choices again.
